Mayu Shinjo's schedule is quite busy this summer! She is working on two series, a shoujo one and a shounen one.

Her new shoujo series Heart no Diamond will be published starting next month on Ribon magazine. A romantic shoujo comedy for all ages!

A shounen series Go Shimei Desu! will be published on Square Jump magazine out August 4th.

Summary by Elina of Rosetta Stone Cafè

It has been a year. Zero continues to go to Kurosu Academy by day and hunt
vampires that became unruly since the abolishment of Council of the Ancients by
night for the Vampire Hunters Association in exchange of freedom, his own
apartment in town.

The Chairman suddenly shows up at his apartment after being imprisoned by the
Association. Zero seems to have managed to avoid becoming a Level E vampire due
to Ichiru and Shizuka's blood. He can now consume large amount of tablets now.
Chairman tells him Kaname has approached the Association to discuss about
re-establishing a pact with them as the vampire leader. Zero realizes the
impact of Kaname's existence in taming the vampires and Chairman tells him his
new mission from the Association.

Six months after taking refuge in the basement of the Kuran mansion, Yuuki
struggles with her human self, keeping her from fully functioning as a vampire.

Another six months go by, Aidou walks into Yuuki's room to tutor her when he
catches her trying to write another letter to someone. Yuuki admits it's to
Yori-chan and he offers to deliver it as long as she refrains from the subject
of her location or vampires. However, Yuuki says she would rather wait until
she is allowed to tell her and cherish her time with Kaname when he appears.

Kaname came home briefly to see Yuuki. He tells her he will be meeting the
Hunters Association and she would soon be freed from her confinement.
Meanwhile, Zero is told to attend that meeting as a future chairman of the
Association.

Bokura Ga Ita new chapter to be published next month!

Bokura Ga Ita chapter 52 will be published in the July issue of Betsucomi's magazine out 13/06.
Apparently she went on hiatus due to family matters.

The following news may contain some spoilers:

In the latest chapters (50-51) Takeuchi proposes to Nanami but she refuses. She goes look for Yano and she sees the back of someone who resambles Yano at the airpoart. Meanwhile Takeuchi goes to Yano's house to talk to him but he finds Yuri at the door.

According to Obata sensei's interview at the public conference at Mang'Azur in Toulon, France, in the 3 newest chapters Nanami and Yano meet, but there is a big event between Nanami and Takeuchi. Obata-sensei is planning to conclude the series with a total of 14 volumes.

I can't wait to read more of this series, it's almost coming to an end!

A Aya Oda's oneshot story "Datte Ai wo Shinjiteru" will be published on Petit comic No.07. Yui goes to Tokyo with no money to find a boyfriend. There a man saves her...!?

Nakayoshi new series

Ema Toyama 's new manga Watashi ni xx Shinasai! has been published on the June issue of Nakayoshi magazine. This new series focuses on "the unpredictable flirt situations", in particular on the secret relationship between the ice queen of the school and the most handsome boy of the first year.

Haruka Fukushima's new series Chocolate (Chokoreito) will start on the July issue of Nakayoshi magazine. Chii still doesn't know anything about love. One day she meets Rei, a new misterious classmate.

Chu chu's renewed campaign goes on....a extra chapter of Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! by Ikeyamada Go has been published on Chu chu No.06 released May 1st . I love basketball! The brightness of a little boy (Hikaru) and the acting genius of a girl (Sayaka). The love of two people showed up on page 01!

A Suki desu Suzuki-kun's set of goods is been released along with Chu Chu's June issue, but only a short amount of people will have the opportunity to have them. More info on June issue.

Midnight Secretary is ending in Petit-comic's magazine No.06 out May 8th. It will count a total of 34 chapters and 7 volumes.

Kaya is a good working secretary who's going to have a new boss.
His name is Kyouhei Touma, director of the tableware company. But on their first meet, he was disappointed and asked for another secretary.
To show him what Kaya is capable of doing, she convinces him to let her stay, but during one night before leaving the office, she went inside his office when he suddenly comes back with a woman. There behind a couch she finds out his secret - he's a vampire?!

A new Hanakimi's oneshot by Hisaya Nakajou will be published in Hana to Yume magazine No.10 out April 20th.

Kimi no Todoke which is temporarily on hiatus will start again in about 2 or 3 months. Kimi ni Todoke has stopped due to Karuho Shiina's pregnancy and it runs in Betsuma's magazine.

Bokura Ga Ita which is currently on hiatus will start again in about 2 or 3 moths. As I said in my previous post a Bokura Ga Ita special book was published along with Betsucomi's magazine and it collects the last three chapters of the series, as well as an editorial from the mangaka and the results of the favourite character's contest.

A sequel to the anime La Corda D'oro will start airing March 26th at 21 p.m.

The story continues after the school music competition. Kahoko keeps practicing the violin and meets the cold boy Eto, the new school board director Akihiko Kira and a misterious new classmate Aoi Kaji.

Kin'iro no Corda (La corda d'oro) is a manga based on a dating simulation game "Kin Iro no Koruda".

The main character is a girl, Kahoko Hino. One day she meets a strange boy, a magician, who claims to be the guardian of music. He desperately needs her help. And so Kahoko is chosen to challenge five students during a musical competition. Unfortunately she doesn't even know how to play an instrument. Eventually, her five rivals will become her friends and maybe something more.

A Sony Psp (PlayStation Portable) remake of La Corda d'oro - Secondo Passo will be released as well with the name of La Corda D'Oro 2 Forte. The game will revolve around the second season of the anime.

Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu will be adapted in a live action film

Kotomi Aoki's latest manga, Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu, will be adapted in a live action film starting March 2009.
Mao Inoue (Hana Yori Dango) will play the role of Mayu Taneda, a girl who experiences first love with Takuma Kakinouchi, a boy who has a heart disease and hides from Mayu the possibility of dying at the age of 20. Takuma will be played by Masaki Okada (Hanakimi). The movie's director is Shinjo Takehiko.

Mei-chan no Shitsuji will be adapted in a live action TV drama

Riko Miyagi's latest manga, Mei-chan no Shitsuji, will be adapted in a live action TV drama. It will premiere on Fuji TV starting January every Tuesdays at 09.00 p.m.

Nana Eikura will play the role of Mei, a middle school girl who inherites a large fortune and starts living with the butler of her dream, the same boy who helped her when she was a lost child. The butler Rihito will be played by Hiro Mikushima and Takeru Sato will play the role of Kento, Rihito's brother, who has a crush on Mei.

GAKKOU NO OJIKAN ENDS

The long and famous shoujo manga Gakko no Ojikan by Mimi Tajima which is currently being published in Margaret's magazine will end in Margaret No.24 out november 20, 2008. Mimi Tajima is the mangaka of Ichigo Channel and Koi Suru 1/4.

Gakko no Ojikan will count a total of 115 chapters and 17 volumes.

SAKURA HIMEKA DEN STARTS

Arina Tanemura's new serie Sakura Himeka Den ("Sakura Princess Legend") will start in Ribon No.01 which is going to be released December 1st.

This new serie is settled in the Heian period (between 794 and 1185) and it revolves around deep loves and battles.
The first chapter will count a total of 56 pages.

Nana chapter 78 (part 2) spoilers

I just read Nana's last chapter after seeing a short summary of the chapter that just took my breath away...
Spoilers alert:

Here is a short summary from Elina of Rosetta Stone Cafè:

Ren died in a car accident on his way to bringing Layla back to Tokyo--she had gone back home to divert the paparazzi's attention away from Ren.
Nobu and Takumi decide to go identify the body while Hachi goes to Nana's side in Osaka. Hachi is reluctant to tell Nana the news. Yasu suddenly appears and informs Nana of Ren's death.

I read the chapters and everyone is crying for Ren. It is such a sad chapter. The chapter ends with Yasu who is telling Nana about Ren's death. I can imagine what she will go through.

SKIP BEAT CHAPTER 130 SPOILERS

Skip Beat's chapter 130 just came out in Japan.

Act 130: A Come Back

Chiori is shocked that Kyoko prepared a better role. Makino continues
to insist that Kyoko lost her tie and Chiori is dismayed to see a cold
smile on Kyoko's face.

Kyoko says she should look for her tie again as Makino suggested, but
she rips Makino's tie off of her neck and asks their director to allow
her and her friends to stop wearing a tie.

The staff thinks the girls look cool without the ties, but the
director says Chiori's character now stands out. One of the girls now
wonders what the director will do with the scenes they had already
completed.

Later, Makino asks why Kyoko didn't turn her in for hiding her tie.
Kyoko still acting as Natsu tells Makino's role that they are friends
and she wanted to resolve the issue without the director's help.

Meanwhile, Chiori is vexed and takes it out on her mother by ignoring
her. She asks the director if he accepts Kyoko's role. Though he is
satisfied with it, now he expects Chiori to improve her role as well.
As Chiori resents Kyoko for placing her in this situation, she sees
Natsu (Kyoko) and Kaori (Makino) having a fun chatting. Chiori
mutters that she will get back at Kyoko.
